Megan Green, left, clasps hands Tuesday with Freeda Morgan along with Morgan’s brothers Cecil and Floyd Guthrie at the Day of Remembrance ceremony in the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center. Green’s friend Drew Gibson was murdered in 2015 while Loyd Morgan was murdered in 1983. Those who attended the ceremony remembered 78 people and concluded with the release of red and white balloons.
