Author John R. Brooks tells Hilldale Elementary students about his character Bobby Bright, a Christmas bulb whose powers include the ability to talk, during a visit to the school Wednesday morning. Brooks is a retired Oklahoma sportscaster. He spent years as the “voice” of the Oklahoma City Blazers and San Diego Gulls professional hockey teams. Brooks writes books for various ages, from picture books to chapter books.
