A Muskogee wrecker service worked through Tuesday afternoon to remove a tractor-trailer rig from U.S. 62, just west of the Muskogee Turnpike. Muskogee Police Officer Tyler Evans said the tractor-trailer rig, driven by Salome Martinez-Martinez of Texas, was westbound on U.S. 62 when a brake line on the trailer blew out, and the trailer’s
rear axle slid out from under the trailer. Evans said the trailer swung out toward the ditch before the rig came to a stop. It was hauling 44,000 pounds of Gatorade, he said. There were no injuries; nor was the driver cited, Evans said.
