The Rev. Gary Hall Sr. stands in the concrete baptistry of his church, Mount Calvary Baptist Church. The two-story building sits on a hill, with the first floor at street level. To save space, the baptistry was built under the pulpit. The aging church will be closed after Sunday’s service and be demolished next month.
