CATHY SPAULDING/Muskogee Phoenix
A crane carries a massive limb from a tree being removed from the Coss Home front lawn Monday. Zach DeCou stands on the tree after sawing the limb. Workers with Muskogee Tree Removal removed the massive red oak tree from the front of the historic home on West Okmulgee Avenue on Monday. The house was built in 1906 by V.R. Coss, an early Muskogee banker and real estate developer. The tree, which was no longer in good shape, had been deemed dangerous for public transportation, as well as to the homeowner.
