CATHY SPAULDING/Muskogee Phoenix
Early Learning Center pupils wait in the hallway to go to their first lunch of the school year. Thursday marked the first day of classes at Fort Gibson Public Schools. Over summer, the district built a turn-around driveway in front of the administration building to ease traffic on campus, especially when high school and middle school students were on campus. Superintendent Scott Farmer said the driveway has helped with traffic. The Early Learning Center reported about 490 children on its first day.
