More than 120 children and teenagers from across the United States in a cattle barn at Connors State College in Warner listen to Lt. Gov. Todd Lamb speak about their potential as leaders of agriculture as well as his own leadership experience.
The youngsters are campers at the college’s Be a Champ Show Cattle Camp, directed and founded by state Rep. Jerry McPeak, D-Warner.
The camp, led in three sessions about cattle and two about lambs, teaches its campers showmanship, clipping, grooming and feeding techniques.
