A motorcycle is loaded on a wrecker after tumbling down an embankment late Monday morning at the U.S. 62 and Muskogee Turnpike interchange. The motorcyclist, Christopher Mounger, 19, was listed in fair condition Monday evening at St. John Health System in Tulsa, a hospital spokeswoman said. Muskogee Police Officer Galin Shultz said Mounger was riding the motorcycle east on U.S. 62 when he lost control just east of the turnpike overpass. Mounger fell off the motorcycle and skidded a few feet. The motorcycle tumbled about 360 feet down the embankment, landing on the south side of an eastbound entrance ramp. Shultz said Mounger was wearing a helmet and protective riding gear, including shoulder pads.
